Our physiotherapists provide assessment and treatment for developmental conditions in children aged 6 months and older.
Some of our physiotherapists also offer services for newborns (0–6 months), including developmental assessments, NDIS-related testing (BOT-3), diagnostics, and referrals.
We encourage you to contact your nearest practice to be connected with the appropriate practitioner before making an appointment.
We assess and manage various paediatric conditions, such as torticollis (wry neck), motor impairments, cerebral palsy, musculoskeletal development, and other common childhood injuries.
Our management strategies are based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework and aim for family-centred practice. These methods are goal-oriented and specific to the child's and family's needs.
Our treatment programs aim to optimise each child's health, well-being, and abilities, enabling them to move and participate in everyday activities such as playing, learning, attending school, and being part of a family and community.
Infants (0-12 Months)
The first year of your baby’s life is the most important window for early intervention, as their brain is at its peak adaptability. Even gentle, targeted support during this period can make a big difference in long-term development.
We address conditions such as torticollis (tight neck muscles), low muscle tone, and motor delays using soft manual techniques, as well as carefully designed environments to encourage your baby to move in just the right way. We also provide simple, practical techniques to incorporate into your baby's day-to-day life so progress continues long after you leave our practice.
Toddlers (1-6 Years)
This is a crucial period for refining walking patterns, building strength, and supporting children with developmental conditions.
We can assist with late walking, persistent toe walking, flat feet, joint hypermobility, and ongoing management of conditions such as cerebral palsy or Down syndrome.
Pre-Teens (7-12 Years)
The pre-teen period is when growth-related conditions begin to appear. Heel pain (Sever's disease) and knee pain (Osgood-Schlatter disease) are extremely common in active 8-to-12-year-olds and respond very well to physiotherapy.
We also help with coordination difficulties, postural concerns, and the ongoing management of long-term conditions.
Adolescents (12+ Years)
Your child's teenage years bring rapid growth, higher physical demands, and carry a heightened risk of overuse and sporting injuries, particularly during growth spurts when bones lengthen faster than the muscles around them. We offer structured, progressive rehabilitation for ACL injuries, knee and ankle conditions, back pain, scoliosis, and hypermobility, using the same evidence-based approaches used in elite sport, adapted for growing bodies.
At this age, children can engage with the reasoning behind their treatment, set their own goals, and take complete ownership of a home exercise programme.
